Ms. Shilpi Singh – a committed campaigner for rights, resilience, rehabilitation, reformation and resurrection of women/girls who have been victims/vulnerable to multiple vulnerabilities. Her journey with Bhoomika Vihar began as a child-artist, entered into journalism and currently is the director of Bhoomika Vihar since 2013. She holds an MBA. To strengthen the movement against gender-based violence she also mobilized a group of CBOs under the network of Campaign Against Child Trafficking (CACT) where she holds the post of State Convener. Following the remarkable impact in the society, her efforts were acknowledged by Embassy of USA for their one of the most prestigious professional exchange programs- IVLP, in 2015. She also got honored by International Fellowships from Canadian International Development Agency (CIDA) and from The Hague Academy for Local Governance, Nederland.

She became the finalist of ‘Stop Slavery Hero Award’ by Thomas Reuters Foundation, London on 20th February 2020. She was recognized by the Deputy Chief Minister of Bihar State handing an award from Zee Bihar Jharkhand as part of their programme ‘AtmaNirbhar Bihar’ (Self-Reliant Bihar). Most recently, Vital Voices and Reliance Foundation has selected Shilpi Singh as one of the Top 50 Women Leaders of India for their Women Lead India Fellowship.

Her motto of community driven and Girl Led Leadership has been conceptualize in unique model of intervention of adolescent girl where they are called as " Durga Jattha."

A ground zero report on Modus Operandi of organized fake/ forced and early marriage was coauthored by Shilpi in 2003. The facts from this study report was referred in UK Parlaiment, 2008 to understand and mitigate the social challenges in South Asian Countries.

Her work on preventing bridal trafficking was featured in National edition of Hindu in 2017. Shilpi was also recognized as Secret Superstar by Legendary Bollywood actor Mr Amir Khan in 2017 from Bihar .

Shilpi is a Kathak Dance enthusiast and a devoted social activist.
